CASH-BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICE

Cash-based defined and why it's our choice for delivering the best care.

CASH-BASED DEFINED

Functionize chooses a cash-based model for our practice - emphasis on the word, “choose.”

In a cash-based treatment model, your Functionize therapist enters into a mutual agreement with you to provide a care plan you have both agreed upon to help you reach your goals most efficiently. This agreement entails full transparency on investment, commitment and expectations. No surprises.

You will pay at the time of service. This model allows our team to focus on providing direct, one-on-one care, while keeping administrative costs low. You may pay for physical therapy services using cash, check, credit/debit card, or with your HSA.

In some instances, you may also personally file for reimbursement from your insurance company to curb your out-of-pocket expense. Most insurance companies, with the exception of Medicare, Medicaid and some HMOs, will provide reimbursement for services received "out of network". The Functionize team can help you with this process.

We blend unique backgrounds in proactive prevention, performance, physical therapy, wellness and more to go well beyond rehab and help you live your best active life.

WHY CASH-BASED

We are not fans of pain or limitations – neither are you. In our 25+ years of combined experience, third-party payers pressuring for fast diagnosis, insisting on canned treatments, and obstructing the therapy we want to provide often hurts the patient’s progress.

Furthermore, out-of-pocket expenses incurred over the course of physical therapy will often be more expensive with a traditional physical therapy practice versus a cash-based model.

We speak the truth.
